Hanna has extensive performing experience, including as a showcase artist at the International Bluegrass Music Association conference, playing at the Station Inn in Nashville, multiple appearances at DelFest, and more. She maintains a regular gigging and performance schedule within a wide variety of ensembles and genres, including bluegrass, rock, jazz, old-time, Americana, country, classical, contemporary classical, video game music, and more. She has also taught school orchestras from Braddock, Cash Valley, Cresaptown, West Side, and Mountain Ridge.
Hanna strongly believes in the importance of teaching and sharing music with others, and seeks to foster a welcoming and accessible environment that helps students to thrive, have fun, and learn in the ways that make the most sense for them. From a young age, she has been immersed in community based oral tradition as well as classical formats, so she knows firsthand that there is value in a variety of methods and can adapt her approach to fit each student’s goals and needs. She is passionate about encouraging creativity and expression in music.
